CODES & CONVENTIONS - MISE EN SCENE & SOUND

Understanding Mise en Scene and Sounds are important to help explain how a scene is built and the impact or effect the convention has on the audience.

Using the Document before (in editing section) start to analyse these two media texts. Remember to describe, explain and analyse a specific example from the texts.

Your example must be specific and have at least 2 in each box.

How effectively can codes and conventions be used to create meaning within media texts.

PRACTICAL TASK

Using THIS SCENARIO you will plan and shoot using camera techniques, sound, mise en scene and editing

You will plan and shoot one scenario and then shoot again to change the meaning using different shots, mise en scene etc. For example camera angles low to then high (Change the meaning and outcome)

Basically you will choose one genre and then film again to see if you can create meaning for a different genre!

You will need to plan a shot list with camera movement, mise en scene, location, props etc. Use the documents below to plan in your first lesson and then film in the next.
